Eglinton Tournament, the Tilt-Yard of the 19th century, near the Regent's Park, London, 1839. The tournament consisted of medieval fun and games for the nobility and their ladies. After 1820 the Eyre Arms, in Finchley Road, developed from being a small tavern to a noted resort for Londoners.
