He was married in 1886 and has two grown sons, Alfredand Louis, both of whom graduated from the High Schools of SanFrancisco. The former is a medical graduate of the Cniversity ofPennsylvania and a practicing physician in San Francisco, and thelatter will receive his diploma this year from JeiTerson Medical Col-lege, Philadelphia. He is prominent infraternal circles and has held the office of Grand Treasurer of theForesters of America for over sixteen years. He is also a Past StatePresident of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
