DAKOTA. 259 Modns Vi?endi Treaty.—On Jan. 12, 1888, theMadrid Government Gaceta published thetext of the agreement between Spain and theUnited States for the prolongation until June30 of the suspension of differential dues uponvessels and cargoes from either, in connectionwith the colonial trade. Dating from July,the arrangement was prolonged pending theconclusion of a more ample treaty, the agree-ment to be liable to termination on two monthsnotice being given by either side.
