160921-N-HP188-092 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 21, 2016) – The Wasp-class multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), fires its MK-38 25mm machine gun system during a live-fire exercise. The system is used for ship self defense to counter High Speed Maneuvering Surface Targets.
