Remains of the Roman Theatre, Zaragoza, Spain, 2007. Zaragoza was founded in 24 BC during the reign of Augustus and was originally known as Caesaraugusta. The theatre dates from the 1st century AD. It was discovered by chance in 1972 during construction work on a new building.
