Farouk, a former Afghan wresting champion, is now a street 'doctor' treating poor people with minor complaints. For a few Afghanis the locals can have everything from sprained ankles to infertility treated in his hole in the wall clinic of Kabul's Bird Street. Street life in the Afghan capital of Kabul is full of interesting faces whose experience is often etched deep into the eyes. The exception being the women , whose eyes a casual observer rarely sees. Despite the ongoing struggle between radical Islamists and the moderate sections of Afghan society - and of course the coalition forces- the hospitality and vibrance of the locals is exhuberant.
