View west across head of Upperdale into Monsal Dale in Derbyshire England and Headstone Viaduct

The Monsal Trail is in the heart of the Peak National Park in Debyshire, England. It is a track for walkers that runs for eight and a half miles (about 13 Kilometres) from Coombs Road Viaduct near Bakewell to the head of Cheedale, about three miles (about 5 kilometres) east of Buxton. For most of the way it follows the route of the of a disused Midland Railway Line railway that was closed in 1968.
