Practical suitability of L39 aircraft for training tasks is daily proven in military colleges of sixteen countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Rugged and simple design proved its qualities in the hardest climate and operational conditions of hot and dusty regions as well as frosty winters or tropical wet climate. Thorough designed and systems result in easy maintenance, excellent reliability, simple pre-flight check, and full autonomy. Favorable service life means no problems about user's aircraft fleet. Turbofan engine with low fuel consumption and low sensitivity to foreign object damage (FOD) with high situated, wing protected air intakes with long service life gives the aircraft good performance for training. The excellent handling qualities make it one of the best training aircraft in the world. The armament system of the L39 has the ability to drop bombs, launch missiles and rockets, and to fire gun. Delivery calculations are based on ballistic data. Two-barrel 23 mm gun is fitted in the dismountable fuselage pod. Four underwing stations for external loads, related to circuits, gyro gunsight or HUD with mission computer L39 capability to carry NATO standard weapons. The variety of weapons that can be carried, together with the high maneuverability (8 g's) give the L39 high effectiveness for light attack tasks in difficult terrain (snail turn radius)
