ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 20, 2016) Seaman Rachel Stempko, from Colorado Springs, Colo., acts as the forward spotter in the primary flight control room of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Stempko serves aboard Ike as an aviation boatswain's mate (handling). Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve is a multinational effort to weaken and destroy Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant operations in the Middle East region and around the world.
