Rome, Italy. 08th Mar, 2021. People of the Italian Senegalese community held a demo outside the FAO HQ in support and solidarity with people protesting in Senegal and against the attempt of the President of Senegal, Macky Sall, to run for a third mandate, not allowed by the Constitution. Moreover, protesters call the government to immediately free the leader of the opposition party Pastef-Les Patriotes, Ousmane Sonko, who is accused of disrupting public order and rape. During the protest in Senegal, triggered by Sonko's arrest, have been allegedly killed between five and ten demonstrators.
