The Etruscan necropolis of Cerveteri, known as Banditaccia, is a unique and exceptional testimony to the ancient Etruscan civilization. The Etruscans attributed great importance to the cult of the dead and cemeteries were built forming real cities with streets and squares. Necropolis of the Banditaccia has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site.
