ALLIUM. Grandiflorum.—One of the earliest spring flower- ing bulbs. A splendid forcingvariety : the flowers are highly prized for loose , &c., and last a long time after being cut. They are large, pure white in color, and continue to bloom from December to the end of April. The culture is ver^- simple and almost any soil suits them. 5c. each : 50c. per doz ; ^ per ico. CYCLAMEN: There is no more ornamental plant for green- house or parlor culture, than the Cyclamen. It grows readily, blossoms freely, and remains a long time in flower. The soil should be equal parts of turfy loam, leaf mould and sand. Put in pots three times the diameter of the bulb, in Oct- ober. Keep them in a cool, light place, watering lightly till growth begins, then water freely and give plenty of light and air. On the approach of cold weather, remove to a warmer situation—the parlor or greenhouse—but keep them near the light. The whole secret of growing Cyclamens to perfection is light, air and a moderately low tem- perature. Perslcum, mixed 20c. each : per doz. JONQUILS. A species of Narcissus, with fragrant, bright yellow flowers, suitable for house or garden cul- ture ; requires same treatment as Hyacinths. Single, sweet scented. 4 for loc; 25c. per doz.; per 100.
