Exterior of the 1928 Naniboujou Club Lodge in Northern Minnesota along the shores of Lake Superior in Cook County. The building was designed in a colorful Art Deco style by Duluth, MN architects Abraham Holstead and William Sullivan. Minnesota Governor Theodore Christianson christened the private and exclusive lodge on July 7, 1929. This event was followed abruptly by the stock market crash of October 29, 1929. Naniboujou Lodge and Restaurant property is now a privately owned hotel and restaurant.
