Osteosarcoma, light micrograph. Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant (cancerous) tumour of bone appearing most frequently under the age of 25 years. It is a highly anaplastic, pleomorphic tumour in which the tumour cells are variable in shape and size, with many multinucleated giant cells.
