262 GERMAN TWIN-JET PROPELLED PLANE AT HELMOND - A German twin-jet propelled ME 262 plane was shot down by Typhoons and crashed in a field on the outskirts of the town near the railroad to Deuron. There were no casualties, but the crew of the plane were burned in the terrific blaze that followed the crash. Everybody had to keep at a safe distance because of the explosions taking place. , British Army, 21st Army Group
