TItADE QUIET. Trade conditions have not been of the best the past few weeks. Vaca- tions are about ending, tlie summer tourists a-re returning and getting their homes ready for winter. The supply of flowers is equal to all de- mands with good stock of gladioli, as- ters and roses. The first cuts of My Maryland and Killarney are of fine quality. Roseum lilies are the great- est help and getting scarce. But chrysanthemums are with us, so it will be but a few weeks until the queen of autumn will be in her glory. NOTES. The several stores, dry goods, cloaks and millinery, are having their fall openings and a fine lot of cut stock is sold for decorating, but then the profits are sacrificed in the low prices obtained for palms. All have been busy with this work and Octo- ber 1 the check will look large, also the refuse pile in several greenhouses where palms, ferns, etc
