Cattle Egret Bubulcus ibis among cattle on a Lincolnshire field 2013. French: Héron garde-boeufs German: Kuhreiher Spanish: Garcilla bueyera


This rare migrant arrived at a cattle field near Thoresby Bridge between Tetney and North Thoresby Lincolnshire 12th September 2013. It is still here and is of great interest to 'twitchers' because of its rarity. It is the only know cattle egret in the UK. More information can be seen on the Lincolnshire Bird Club site.
