St Mary's church, Stoke by Nayland, Suffolk
St Mary's church at Stoke by Nayland, above the River Stour which marks the Suffolk/Essex border, is mostly 15th century including the brick tower which was completed in 1470. The landscape artist, John Constable, featured it several times in his paintings, not always in the right place. The church has what are regarded as the best late 15th century doors in Suffolk.
