Head distinct from neck; eye large, with round pupil; no suboculars. Body elongate, compressed; scales more or less distinctly keeled, disposed obliquely on the sides, in 21 to 25 rows ; ventrals obtusely angulate laterally. Tail long; subcaudals in two rows.
