Perkins died inFrance, October 10, following wounds received in battlethe day previous. Although too young for the draft,Perkins was among the first from this town to enlisted June 20, 1917, in Company C, 38th Infantry,and went into training at Syracuse. He went to CampGreene, North Carolina. He was made a corporal. OnMarch, 1918, he was transported to France. Served inThird Division, under Dickman. December 2—Frederick Palmer,
