It is one of the best in qualityfor the market and home garden, while its great productiveness and the ease withwhich it can be harvested make it desirable as a field sort. The tops are mediuinsized with small neck. The mature roots are thick, five and one-half to six inches inlength, uniformly half long or stump rooted but tapering slightly, smooth, deeporange-red in color. The flesh is very crisp and tender.
