Fifty thousand Angora goats grazed in the Na- tional Forests in six Western States last year. * * * Tbirty-flve States now have laws permitting the breeding and sale of all or a certain species of game. + + * Elk and mountain sheep have increased materially in Wyoming during the past year. * * + While in the field it is necessary for New York hunters to wear a button on their hunting jacket. This button is supplied by the State and has on it the number of the hunter's license. This was done to prevent men from hunting who did not take out a license. * * * George Nicolai, of Kansas City, pulled down the International trapshooting event in the midwinter shoot and won $1575. * + * On February 6th E. A. Parsons, of Portland, Ore., shipped the setter, Irene Danstone Marie, to George B. Robertson, Whaleyville, Va., to be bred to Prince Rodney's Count, and accompanying her was her daughter, Theda Bara, by Free Lance, as a present to Mr. Robertson. When the crate arrived at its destination Irene Danstone Marie was missing and to date has not been recovered. A search on the part of the express companies has demonstrated that both bitches were still in the crate when it left Chicago, and must have been lost or stolen while en route between that place and Whaleyville.
