Elderberry flowers (Sambucus nigra). This plant is used in herbal medicine in the treatment of constipation and arthritic conditions. An ointment made from the leaves is used to treat bruises, sprains, chilblains and wounds. A tea made from the dried berries is used as a remedy for colic and diarrhoea. The stem can be used for treating burns and scalds.
