BIRTH OF A GUN: THE PRODUCTION OF A 25 POUNDER FIELD GUN, 1942 - Factory worker Amy Dale works at an 'electrolimit gauge' to measure a fulcrum pin at a factory producing 25 pounder field guns, somewhere in Britain. The pins will be discarded if they are as much as 1/5,000" out. The parts of the 25 pounder gun are machined to fit exactly and must be able to be changed on the battlefield in the dark, slipping into place by hand pressure alone
