OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Mar. 8, 2018) — Oberstløytnant Sverre Olstad of the Royal Norwegian Air Force sits at a console on a P8-A Poseidon during a Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 static display at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI). VP-47 is a maritime patrol squadron currently station at NASWI. The Golden Swordsmen recently completed transition from the legacy P-3C Orion to the P-8A Poseidon, the Navy's premiere long-range anti-submarine warfare platform.
