Perhaps she was a suffragette or a suffragist or just a sympathiser of the cause. She wears a large hat tied with a scarf. She lived in London. From the studio of Laffitte 184 Western Road, Brighton, Sussex, England, posted from South Tottenham, London, Dated / posted 13th Feb 1911.
Laffitte - was a photographer at 184 Western Road, Brighton in years 1910 and 1911 after which it was occupied by Van Trolga from 1912-1915. The young lady may have been on holiday when she had the photo taken as she appears to be living in London from where the postcard was sent. The card was with Alamy ref: 2M7BBR9 which talks of people looking over their house, so could be a raid on suffragettes but purely supposition as cannot confirm.
