Lt. Col. David Iverson (pilot), and Capt. Tim Tendall, 492nd Fighter Squadron apply brake to slow his F-15E Strike Eagle at Kelly Field, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas on Jan 11, 2010. The hour nonstop flight from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England included Col. Iverson's passage through the 4,000 flight hour mark during the journey over the Atlantic Ocean. The transatlantic flight was supported by seven in-flight refuelings; five from Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers based in Europe and United States. The exact moment he passed the milestone was while connected to a Boeing KC-135. In the background is a C-5 Galaxy at home station, 433rd Airlift Wing.
