Vignacourt Museum tells the story of its famous village photographer. In 2014 hundreds of glass plate negatives were discovered in a barn and brought to the attention of an Australian journalist who through persistence managed to get lots of the old negatives digitally scanned and printed that apart from showing everyday life in the village around 1900 also record lots of Australian soldiers who were billeted in the village during the First World War.
