This Institution, erected at Lynchburg by the Randolph-Macon Board ofTrustees, and opened with a large enrollment of students September 14th,1893, represents a distinct advance in its chosen field. It offers to thedaughters of the South facilities for a college education equal to that givenat our best Virginia Colleges for young men, and under environments inharmony with Southern ideals of womanhood. The breadth, strength andrefinement of the soundest and highest literary culture is sought, withoutsacrifice of feminine grace and modesty. The courses of instruction are practically the same as those announced inthis catalogue for young men, with the omission of the courses in BiblicalLiterature and the addition of departments of Pedagogy, Music and Art. The buildings are new and supplied with modern conveniences, and theendowment of 8100,000 enables the Board
