Color clear white, heavily edged and striped with bright scarlet, giving it a very bright and cheerful appearance. Flowers enormous and full, with centre petals standing erect, giving the bloom a well-rounded form. Habit strong and vigorous, but dwarf enough for side benches. A con- stant bloomer from early to late, and is probably the most striking carnation of recent introduction. A grand com- mercial carnation. Its blooms sell at the highest prices in all markets. No variegated carnation yet introduced can equal the enormous striking blooms produced by this variety. Unquestion- ably the best of all variegated carna- tions. $ per 100 ; $ per 1000. planted in 5 in. of good soil. $ per 100; $ per 1,000. Flora Hill. Very free in growth and in coming into bloom. Strong calyx, moderately stiff stem, very large flower. Under ordinary culture brings good flowers throughout the season. Stem rather weak with first crop, but stiffens up as season advances.
