The theme for this year's World Environment Day is 'Restoring the Ecosystem'. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5th. It adheres to the United Nations to raise environmental awareness and encourage new initiatives. This special day was first observed in 1984 in the interest of raising awareness on environmental issues such as marine pollution, human population, global warming and wildlife.
