Moreton. 1891. Old Moreton Hall. The earliest parts of the house 1504-08. The house remained in the possession of the Moreton family for almost 450 years. You’re seeing an interior shot with mystery women. A 19th century restoration of the hall found 18 assorted boots and shoes hidden in the structure “used to ward off demons ghosts or witches and encourage fertility of the female occupants”. “A grey lady is said to haunt the long gallery” a child has been reported to be heard sobbing in and around the Chapel.
