The first F-35A Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter ever to land at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, arrives here the afternoon of Sept. 13. The multirole, fifth-generation fighter arrived from the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron, Nellis AFB, Nev., and is scheduled to undergo post-production modifications at the Ogden Air Logistics Complex. Hill, Lockheed Martin and Utah elected officials will gather for a ceremony Sept. 20. The ceremony marks the beginning of depot maintenance of the F-35 at Hill AFB and is not a basing decision. Staff Sgt. Devin Doskey
