In order to keep the scale racks from slipping off the scale platform, bore a hole through the middle of each end runner and on through into the scale platform. Loose bolts dropped into these holes will prevent the racks from slipping. The ground to the side of the scale platform should be leveled up to the same height as the platform, and when it is desired to move the rack it can be slipped off to one side. Wheels or rollers are sometimes put under the rack in order to make it move easier, but this is not necessary, unless the rack is to be moved every day or two. The cattle corrals should be on the side of the scales next to the box and about as close to the box as will permit.
