This area is known for its wildlife, grand scenic vistas and its many geothermal features. It is one of the natural wonders of the world. Norris Geyser Basin is located near the northwest edge of Yellowstone Caldera near Norris Junction and on the intersection of three major faults. It is therefore very prone to Earthquakes.
