Apollo 12 exploration of the Moon, November 1969. Panoramic montage view of the lunar surface during the first moonwalk of the Apollo 12 mission. Right of centre is lunar module pilot Alan L. Bean, with a TV camera mounted on a stand at right. At left is the Lunar Module 'Intrepid'. This view is from just inside the rim of Surveyor Crater. Apollo 12 was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, arriving in the Ocean of Storms on 19 November 1969. Astronauts Charles Conrad (taking these photographs) and Alan Bean made two excursions on the surface for a total of 7 hours 45 minutes. Photographed on 19 November 1969.
