Dobbs pauper’s grave in Long Strops / Dobbs wood, Kesgrave, Suffolk.

There’s uncertainty over the occupant of this grave but local history says that in 1750 Dobbs was a shepherd who either lost or stole a sheep. Fearing deportation he hanged himself and was buried in this pauper’s grave.
