Brigadier Gen. Richard R. Coffman, 1st Infantry Division Mission Command Element commander, Sgt. Maj. Sael Garcia, 1st Inf. Div. MCE sergeant major, and Lt. Col. Hundreds of Polish citizens, including uprising participants, attended the ceremony. Coffman, Garcia and Walsh are deployed to Poznań in support of Army Europe’s Atlantic Resolve mission, which aims to assure NATO Allies and partner nations of United States’ commitment to the Alliance and to build interoperability between those countries’ militaries while deterring aggression in that region.
