A car bomb explosion has taken place in the Syrian town of Azaz, in the northern countryside of Aleppo near the Syrian-Turkish border. The blast, which has taken place near a market and a courthouse, has caused the death of more than 60 people, mainly civilians, and the injury of dozens. It has also led to the extended damage of the surrounding buildings. The explosion in the rebel-hold town of Azaz has been claimed by the Islamic State. The attack in Azaz can be viewed as an Islamic State retaliation against opposition rebels operations against IS in Syria
