1996 90s nineties British ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR II/III 6750cc 4 speed automatic travelling to the Southport Classic and Speed event held in Victoria Park, UK
The 1996 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur was the pinnacle of the Rolls-Royce standard product line in the 1990s. Built in Crewe, England, the Silver Spur was the long wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit sedan. The retail price of the Silver Spur in 1996 started at $176,500, exclusive of any bespoke content. The Silver Spur and its standard-wheelbase counterpart, the Silver Spirit, were substantially redesigned for the 1996 model year, and christened the “New Silver Spur” or more plainly, the “Mark IV”. A grand total of just 802 Silver Spurs Mark IVs were produced for the global marketplace from 1996 to 2000. All were based on the Rolls-Royce/Bentley SZ platform and powered by the company’s famed “six and three-quarter litre” V-8 engine—a platform and powerplant shared with numerous other Rolls-Royce and Bentley models from 1980 through 2003.
