The magnificent Patrika Gate in Jaipur is a relatively new monument built basing the design on original heritage gates that provided access to walled city of Jaipur. The building facade is pink with golden highlights and is flanked by figure of elephants, horses and soldiers. Its walls and ceilings have intricate motifs and colors that are hand painted while each pillars and column depict scene from various regions of Rajasthan. The whole ensemble makes it heaven for the art lovers
