Navy AWS1 Joseph Southern flies aboard a MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter during a Search and Rescue (SAR) training exercise in Beaufort , July 27, 2018. The purpose of the exercise was to practice and hone professional skills to aid to people in immediate danger or distress. The exercise was a full community involvement including participants from the military, Naval Hospital Beaufort, and first responders within Beaufort County.
