The repeating pattern consists of a wide variety of flowers and leaves that tumble over each other. The motifs are made in netslag and linen battle with openwork edges and recesses. Very sparingly use has been made of contour threads to accentuate some motif parts. The motifs are largely connected by a grid, a Parisian soil. The motifs under the arches are connected by a potented braid ground. This braiding land has also been used in a few other places, including between the rosette flowers in the U-shaped frame. A decorative land has been used in some motifs. The top of the strip is straight finished with a separate linen strap. The irregular scrap edge along the underside of the strip stems from the pattern and is finished with picots.
