To work towards this goal is what Godwishes us to do, and on each step of theway to take others with us. To study andwork and teach without ceasing, and towillingly trust that all we need will begiven us. And each day of service willbring us deeper joy and understanding, andeach joy shared is doubly ours, and all lifewill be a sowing on earth of the seed ofeternal life. This is the third lesson on Joy. 56 FOURTH LESSON ON JOY When man learns that all that standsbetween him and existence in the spiritualworld is a lack of conformity to Gods laws,he will try to do better. He only needs thewill to obey and then, consciously or uncon-sciously, his guides can reach him, andeach day of real endeavor to do as Godwishes will make the path easier to fol-low. As his insight grows his joy will in-crease and his work will be better done. Once started on this path he will neverturn back unless he is so filled with thearrogance that power brings that he pre-fers to use the power for his own he must take his great punishmentand struggle through aeons to be forgivenand to win back his spark of spirit. Thishe can do by hard struggle, but he cannever be of the same degree of power, nor57 LIFE IN THE CIRCLES can he ever again be trusted with the greatwork of teaching, which is the greatestprivilege given to man.
