EVERETT, Wash. (Sept. 21, 2018) Information Systems Technician 1st Class Lorin Iler, assigned to Naval Station Everett (NSE), reads the history of Col. Floyd J. Thompson, the longest-held American POW in history during a National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony at NSE. National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday in September and honors those who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action.
