Army Staff Sgt. Benjamin Bishop and Capt. Eric Ahle, both with Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), remove sediment at the bottom of a water collection point for wet screen operations as part of a DPAA recovery mission near Bellha Village, Guadalcanal Province, Solomon Islands, Nov. 27 2016. DPAA team members deployed to the area in hopes of recovering the remains of a pilot unaccounted-for from the Battle of Guadalcanal during World War II. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
