NEWS, Va. (May 9, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Addison Mila, from Coon Rapids, Minnesota stands master Helmsman on the bridge aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) as Abraham Lincoln goes underway for the first time in four years. Abraham Lincoln is underway after successfully completing its mid-life refueling and complex overhaul and will spend several days conducting sea trials, a comprehensive test of many of the ship’s key systems and technologies.
