Irvine Townhouse, a 19th century historical listed building, built in an Italianate style by JAMES INGRAM in 1862 at a cost of £4000. The octagonal steeple is 120 foot high and is topped by the original 14th century weather vane in the shape of sloop signifying Irvine's maritime history. Now a museum, the building originally housed the Council chambers and local law courts.
