The Marienburg Castle sits on top of a hill above the village of Feldioara. It is overlooking a beautiful fertile valley with rolling hills at the foot of the Carpathians. Called Barcaság in Hungarian, Burzenland in German and Tara Birsei in Romanian, the area got its name from the river Barca (Birsa).
