Several hundred anti-lockdown demonstrators and activists against the Policing Bill ignored police orders to cancel a protest in Bristol where crowds gathered at College Green then marched through the south west city streets. Avon and Somerset Police had made it clear they would take action if the demonstration went ahead. The Police and Crime Bill had its second reading in Parliament this week, and sparked a huge controversy, coming in the wake of police action to try to stop a vigil held on Clapham Common earlier this week for the murdered London woman Sarah Eve
